iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro Imminent in Indonesia, Having Secured TKDN Certification

Good news for Apple fans awaiting the arrival of the latest iPhone 18 series in Indonesia. The line-up, comprising the iPhone Duo, iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, has been recorded as having obtained the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) certificate.

TKDN certification is one of the absolute requirements before an electronic device can be officially marketed in Indonesia. This means the door is wide open for these devices to enter the country in the near future.

Based on CNBC Indonesia’s monitoring of the TKDN website of the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin), three mobile phone devices are registered under the name of PT Apple Indonesia. All three have obtained a TKDN value of 40%.

According to data on the website, the three devices use model numbers A3714, A3717 and A3720. When cross-checked against Apple’s official database, these are model codes for the iPhone 18 series:

• iPhone 18 Pro (Model Number: A3714) - TKDN 40%

• iPhone 18 Pro Max (Model Number: A3717) - TKDN 40%

• iPhone Duo (Model Number: A3720 - Apple’s first foldable phone) - TKDN 40%

It should be noted that obtaining the TKDN certificate is not the only final requirement before a device can be officially sold.

Telecommunications devices to be marketed in Indonesia must also obtain telecommunications device certification, known as Postel, from the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi).

Once the entire certification process is complete, Apple and its official distributors can begin selling the devices in the Indonesian market.
