Samsung is rumoured to bring a feature currently available only on flagship phones to the Galaxy A Series. The feature is the ability to send files directly, similar to “AirDrop”, from Samsung phones to iPhones, iPads, and Macs.

According to reports from Digital Trends and Android Authority, this discovery first emerged from the GalaxyClub community.

They found a new menu titled “Share with Apple devices” that has started appearing on some Samsung devices after installing the latest version of Quick Share along with its supporting components.

Several Galaxy A Series models that are indicated to receive this feature include the Galaxy A35, Galaxy A55, and Galaxy A56.

The technology relies on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to quickly detect nearby devices, then uses Wi-Fi Direct to send large files without an internet connection.

In this way, users can share photos, videos, or documents instantly, without the need for third-party apps.

Previously, Quick Share could only be used between Android devices, Chromebooks, and Windows. On the other hand, Apple has AirDrop, which is exclusive to iPhones, iPads, and Macs.

These two ecosystems previously operated separately and could not connect with each other. However, Google began paving the way by introducing Quick Share support for iPhones via the Pixel 10 series in November 2025.

Samsung is now following suit by bringing the upgraded Quick Share version to Galaxy devices.

This feature first appeared on the flagship Galaxy S26 series in March 2026.

However, its availability is still gradual, starting from South Korea and will be expanded to other regions such as Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, Latin America, North America, Southeast Asia, and Taiwan.

As of now, the Galaxy S26 Ultra owned by the KompasTekno team is still awaiting the update.

Additionally, several older flagships like the Galaxy S22 to Galaxy S25 are also on the list of devices that could potentially receive similar support. Therefore, it seems that Galaxy A series users will have to wait longer to try this Quick Share feature to iPhones.

Users need to install several components such as the latest Quick Share version, Quick Share Agent, Quick Share Connectivity, as well as additional extensions. However, this method is not recommended because it is risky and may not run stably.

Samsung itself has not announced an official launch schedule for this upgraded Quick Share feature for the Galaxy A Series.

The South Korean tech giant has only stated that support for cross-device file sharing will be expanded to more models in the future.

Clearly, this step shows Samsung’s efforts to narrow the gap between the Android and Apple ecosystems, particularly in terms of ease of file sharing, both on flagship or mid-range phones.
