iPhone 19 Pro could feature a four-sided curved display

Apple is reportedly testing a design for the iPhone 19 Pro with a screen curved on all four sides, according to leaks from tech leaker Digital Chat Station. According to MacRumors on Thursday (May 21 local time), the phone, predicted for release in 2027, is likely to use a small hole-punch cutout in the display for the front camera, while Face ID would be fully hidden under the display panel. The leaks have drawn attention because earlier reports suggested Apple was preparing a 20th-anniversary iPhone in 2027 with a full-screen design without a camera hole. However, it remains unclear whether the special edition phone would be positioned as the top-tier above the Pro and Pro Max variants. The latest leaks indicate that this possibility remains open. One possibility cited is that Apple would retain a full-screen design only for the 20-year anniversary model, while the iPhone 19 Pro would still use a small camera hole in the screen. Nevertheless, Apple is reportedly facing technical challenges to fully hide the front camera and Face ID under the panel without compromising the quality of selfies. If current technology cannot meet Apple’s quality standards, the company is unlikely to embed a camera under the screen.
