Ipda Aris Denies Hitting Brigadier Nurhadi, Despite Evidence of Ring-Shaped Wound
Ipda I Gde Aris Chandra Widianto is being questioned as a defendant in the case of Brigadier Muhammad Nurhadi’s murder. One of the questions was about Aris’s akik ring. He stated that he was not wearing his akik ring when he went to Gili Trawangan.
Initially, the prosecutor asked Aris if he had ever hit Brigadier Nurhadi while at Vila Tekek The Beach House Resort. “No (I didn’t hit Nurhadi), Your Honor,” Aris replied.
When shown a green akik ring, Aris admitted that it was his. The prosecutor then asked how many rings Aris owned. However, Aris did not give a specific number.
“I have many rings that people have given me. Sometimes when I go to Bima, I am given rings. But I rarely wear rings, Your Honor, because I don’t like them,” he said.
As far as he remembers, Aris said that when he went to Gili Trawangan with Yogi, Nurhadi, and two other women, Misri Puspita Sari and Meylani Putri, he was not wearing a ring.
“I don’t remember, but I’m sure I wasn’t wearing a ring,” he said.
According to Aris, his hands get itchy when he wears rings. Therefore, he only wears rings when attending events. The prosecutor asked about the akik ring belonging to defendant Aris, in relation to the wound found on Brigadier Nurhadi’s face. The wound was identical to a wound caused by a ring used by defendant Aris.
Aris said that his ring was confiscated by investigators three months after Brigadier Nurhadi’s death, not a few days after Nurhadi died.
Conversation with Nurhadi
During the trial, the prosecutor also asked about a WhatsApp message sent by defendant Aris to Brigadier Nurhadi. Aris admitted that the message was sent to Nurhadi a few days before they went to Gili Trawangan, North Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.
“That incident (the messaging) actually happened before we left for Gili Trawangan. It was on Sunday (April 13, 2025),” Aris said in the courtroom.
The message contained a request that Nurhadi not move around too much. The message was also shown by the prosecutor during the examination of defendant Kompol I Made Yogi Purusa Utama on Monday (February 23, 2026).
According to defendant Aris, the message was just a misunderstanding. “There was a miscommunication, Your Honor. It was just a miscommunication,” he said.
The message originated from a problem with the money paid to the women who were hired to accompany them while singing. Aris felt that the money for the five women had been paid through one person.
“I gave the down payment (money) to one of the women, but that woman hadn’t given it to her friends. That’s why Nurhadi gave it to them again,” he said.
Aris assured that the money issue had nothing to do with Brigadier Nurhadi’s death in Gili Trawangan.
“No, no. It has nothing to do with it,” he said.
It is known that Brigadier Nurhadi died at Villa Tekek The Beach House Resort, Gili Trawangan, after a drinking and drug party with Kompol Yogi and Ipda Aris, as well as two women, namely Misri Puspita Sari and Meylani Putri, on Wednesday (April 16, 2025).
The two women were allegedly hired by Kompol Yogi and Ipda Aris. In this case, Misri Puspita Sari was also named a suspect. However, the trial has not yet begun. The case file has only been declared complete.
