PT IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) is strengthening its 24-hour operational services to anticipate the surge in container traffic ahead of Eid al-Fitr 2026. This step is taken to maintain the smoothness of the national supply chain amid increased logistics activity during Ramadan.

An increase in logistics flow has been observed starting from the third week of Ramadan, particularly in the domestic segment. At the Domestic Container Terminal 2 (TP2), activities have recorded an increase of around 37.5 percent compared to the previous week, in line with the rise in throughput and ship visit frequency.

Corporate Secretary of IPC TPK, Pramestie Wulandary, stated that the company is ensuring optimal loading and unloading services 24 hours a day and seven days a week (24/7) to anticipate this surge.

“We are ensuring full operations with support from monitoring systems and readiness of personnel across all lines,” said Pramestie in a written statement in Jakarta on Tuesday (18/3/2026).

This strengthening of services is also in line with government policies regarding restrictions on goods transportation during the homecoming period. IPC TPK assesses that this policy has the potential to encourage the acceleration of goods distribution before the restriction period is implemented.

To that end, the company urges service users to expedite the container pickup process to avoid accumulation at the port after Eid.

“Acceleration of delivery is key to maintaining smooth goods flow and avoiding congestion at the terminal,” said Pramestie.
