IPC TPK Records 8.37 Per Cent Growth in Container Volume up to August
Jakarta (ANTARA) - IPC Terminal Petikemas has recorded container handling volumes reaching 2.51 million TEUs up to August 2026, representing an 8.37 per cent increase compared to the same period in the previous year.
“We have once again recorded a positive operational performance trend through the middle of the third quarter of 2026,” said Daniel Setiawan, Senior Manager of Corporate Secretariat at IPC Terminal Petikemas (TPK), in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.
He stated that this achievement serves as evidence of the company’s commitment to maintaining the reliability of container handling services and promoting sustainable national logistics efficiency.
Daniel explained that throughout August 2026, IPC TPK successfully recorded a container flow of 339,359 TEUs, a 10.3 per cent growth compared to the same period in 2025, which stood at 307,559 TEUs.
Cumulatively, Daniel continued, the total handling volume from January to August 2026 reached 2,510,561 TEUs, up 8.37 per cent from 2,316,744 TEUs during the same period last year.
“We continue to focus on the optimisation of terminal facilities to provide the best, most efficient, and timely service for all business partners and shipping lines,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Tanjung Priok Terminal, which serves as the main hub, recorded significant growth of 13.2 per cent, followed by the Panjang Terminal with a 10.9 per cent increase, and the Pontianak Terminal, which grew by 4.2 per cent.
According to him, the success in maintaining an upward volume trend across all terminals in the operational area is inseparable from the company’s consistency in improving the competence of operational human resources, as well as the implementation of field safety standards.
Increased efficiency in vessel berthing time and handling time has also been a key factor in maintaining sustainable operational stability.
He added that as they enter the final quarter of 2026, IPC TPK continues to strengthen collaboration with stakeholders in the logistics and port industries.
“We are optimistic that we can maintain this growth momentum until the end of the year through increased operational efficiency and service innovation oriented towards the needs of service users,” said Daniel.
