IPC TPK’s preparedness is also intended to support government policies regarding restrictions on goods transport during the mudik period.

Corporate Secretary of IPC TPK, Pramestie Wulandary, stated in Jakarta on Wednesday that the increase in container traffic has been anticipated through the strengthening of an integrated and responsive operational system.

“We fully support the government’s policies in regulating restrictions on goods transport during the mudik period. To that end, IPC TPK ensures that loading and unloading services continue to operate optimally 24/7, with intensive monitoring support and readiness of operational personnel across all lines,” said Pramestie.

To maintain smooth logistics flow and avoid congestion in the port area, IPC TPK is implementing several strategic mitigation measures, including the optimisation of gate pass services and the utilisation of the Line 2 stacking yard as a buffer for Line 1.

Additionally, collaboration with several supporting container depots around Tanjung Priok, as well as strengthening traffic management and safety control functions through the placement of Port Facility Security Officers (PFSO) at vulnerable queuing points.

In line with the planned implementation of goods transport restrictions from 13 to 29 March 2026, IPC TPK projects an acceleration of shipping activities by customers before that period begins.

To this end, the company is actively urging service users to expedite the collection of containers for removal to depots around North Jakarta to avoid potential accumulation after Eid.

“Accelerating delivery before the restriction period is key to maintaining supply chain smoothness. With synergy between terminal operators, regulators, and service users, we are optimistic that the national logistics flow will remain well-managed during the Eid period,” said Pramestie.

IPC TPK is also continuing to strengthen coordination with the Harbourmaster and Port Authority Office (KSOP), related agencies, and shipping companies to ensure synchronisation of ship arrival schedules and smooth container flow across all terminals.

Previously, the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) stated that the government-imposed restrictions on goods transport operations are aimed at ensuring safety and smooth mudik and return flows during the 2026 Eid Transport period.

This is in connection with the implementation of the Joint Ministerial Decree (SKB) on Road Traffic Regulation and Crossing during the Eid Mudik and Return Flow Period 2026, signed by Kemenhub, the Ministry of Public Works, and the National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri).

Meanwhile, Korlantas Polri mentioned five clusters as the focus of security, including toll roads, national or regency roads, ferry ports, places of worship, and tourist sites.
