National logistics activity has demonstrated positive trends in early Ramadan 2026. PT IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) reported container flow growth of 8.7 per cent year-on-year through February 2026, with total volume reaching 600,416 TEUs, a significant increase compared to the same period last year.

Monthly performance also showed strong results, with February 2026 recording growth of 10.6 per cent at 300,525 TEUs compared to 271,521 TEUs in February 2025.

Corporate Secretary of IPC TPK, Pramestie Wulandary, stated that this growth reflects sustained goods distribution activities across various operational regions despite the holy month of Ramadan.

“We continue to strengthen terminal operations to ensure smooth container flow, particularly during Ramadan and leading up to the Eid holiday,” Pramestie said in a written statement on Wednesday (11 March).

The Tanjung Priok area remains the primary growth driver. Through February 2026, container flow at Tanjung Priok 1 surged 14 per cent to 208,198 TEUs. Meanwhile, Tanjung Priok 2 recorded volume of 286,613 TEUs or growth of 6.9 per cent compared to the previous year.

Positive performance has also extended to several regions outside Java. The Panjang area in Lampung recorded rapid growth of 20.9 per cent (20,660 TEUs), Teluk Bayur area in Padang increased 7.8 per cent (18,561 TEUs), and Pontianak area in West Kalimantan rose 4.9 per cent (43,550 TEUs).

As peak Eid logistics season approaches, IPC TPK has begun implementing mitigation measures regarding operational restrictions on road freight transport. The company has advised service users to schedule container pickup and delivery earlier to avoid congestion at ports.

“We are optimising terminal facilities and cargo handling equipment productivity. Cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders is key to ensuring smooth logistics flow during this peak period,” Pramestie said.

Additionally, IPC Terminal Petikemas recorded container flow growth of 13.1 per cent in the January–October 2025 period compared to the same period the previous year.
