Bogor (ANTARA) – IPB University, ENVELOPS Co Ltd and the Korea Energy Agency (KEA) are promoting renewable energy development by integrating agrivoltaics (APV) and e-mobility.

IPB University Vice-Rector for Resource Resilience and Infrastructure Dr Heti Mulyati said in a written statement in Bogor on Monday that the transition to electric mobility required more than simply providing vehicles. It also needed energy supplies, charging infrastructure and integrated policies.

“This also requires suitable charging infrastructure and supporting policies. We are preparing policies linked to green campuses, green transport and green energy,” she said.

IPB held an Agrivoltaic & E-Mobility Awareness Workshop at its Dramaga campus in Bogor.

The initiative is part of the 2026 Korea–Developing Country Climate Change Cooperation project (ODA Project), which links solar power generation, agricultural activities and electric-vehicle charging.

Mulyati said APV and e-mobility development required a multidisciplinary approach that took agriculture, technology, economic and social factors into account. Such an approach could also make the project a platform for interdisciplinary education and research, as well as collaboration between IPB University, industry and local communities.

She expressed hope that facilities developed on campus would support learning and research into integrating solar energy with agricultural activities.
