iPad may adopt Android tablet design for a more modern look

Apple is rumoured to be considering a design overhaul for its upcoming iPad generation, potentially adopting design elements that have been present on Android tablets for several years.

This design change would provide a more modern appearance, potentially making the iPad look much fresher. According to a report from Phone Arena, the proposed change involves much slimmer bezels—the frame surrounding the screen.

Whilst Apple has made significant advancements, particularly regarding software through iPadOS, the physical aesthetic of the iPad appears to require attention. The prominent bezels have become a notable drawback for the iPad amidst the global influx of Android tablets that feature more futuristic designs.

Such a change could also potentially boost sales, considering that the iPad has not yet experienced the same explosive sales surges recently seen with the iPhone or MacBook.
