iPad Air M4 specifications reveal large RAM capacity
Apple has officially introduced the latest generation of its premium mid-range tablet, the iPad Air M4 (2026). The device arrives as a response for users who require high performance for multitasking and artificial intelligence (AI) without having to pay as much as the iPad Pro line.
The newly upgraded iPad Air is powered by the M4 chip, which features an 8-core CPU and a 9-core GPU. Apple claims its performance is 30% faster than the M3 generation. However, the biggest surprise is the memory capacity. The iPad Air M4 now comes with 12GB of unified memory with a bandwidth of up to 120 GB/s.
This 50% RAM increase aims to support AI features in iPadOS 26 and ensure demanding apps such as 4K video editing and 3D rendering run without a hitch.
Beyond processing power, Apple also includes the latest connectivity technology via the N1 wireless chip. Here are the key features of the iPad Air M4:
On the global market, the iPad Air M4 is priced from USD 599 for the 11-inch model. For the Indonesian market, prices are expected to remain competitive following the pricing scheme of the previous generation. Official price estimates in Indonesia range from Rp9.5 million for the base variant to Rp16 million for the 13-inch variant with cellular connectivity.
The iPad Air M4 is available in four appealing colours: Blue, Purple, Starlight, and Space Gray. With these specifications, the tablet is predicted to become a new favourite in 2026 for students as well as creative professionals.
