IPA Convex Strengthens Collaboration in Upstream Oil and Gas Sector and National Energy Security
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA) has stated that it will strengthen collaboration in the upstream oil and gas sector and national energy security during the IPA Convention and Exhibition (IPA Convex) on 20-22 May 2026 at ICE BSD City, Tangerang, Banten.
IPA Convex 2026 Committee Chair Teresita Listyani said during a press conference in Jakarta on Tuesday that this forum, being held for the 50th time, carries the theme “50 Years of Energy Partnership: Shaping the Next Era for Advancing Growth”.
“IPA Convex serves as a crucial momentum to strengthen collaboration between the government, industry players, investors, academics, and the younger generation in supporting national energy security and creating an increasingly competitive investment climate,” Teresita stated.
She added that the 50th edition of IPA Convex this year not only reflects the long journey of the national upstream oil and gas industry but also serves as a strategic forum to discuss the future of Indonesia’s energy security.
Furthermore, she explained that IPA Convex 2026 will feature more than 200 exhibitors and over 200 technical presentations covering various strategic issues in the energy sector, from exploration and technology to energy transition and upstream oil and gas investments.
The main events will commence on Wednesday (20/5) with an opening ceremony planned to be led by President Prabowo Subianto and the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia.
The inauguration agenda includes the signing of several strategic contracts, the Minister of ESDM’s report, and a VIP visit to the exhibition area.
In addition to the main exhibition and conference, IPA Convex 2026 will also present various strategic forums such as the Plenary Session, Concurrent Session, and Innovative Energy Solutions, which will bring together the government, global energy companies, investors, and technology providers to discuss solutions to future energy challenges.
“We want IPA Convex to become a platform that produces tangible collaborations and accelerates investments, particularly in Indonesia’s upstream oil and gas sector, which still holds enormous potential,” Teresita said.
