IPA cancels convention
JAKARTA (JP): The Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA) said yesterday it had canceled its 26th annual convention scheduled for next Monday to Wednesday at the Jakarta Convention Center in Senayan, South Jakarta.
The association's board of directors said in a statement that it had postponed the convention "until further notice" due to deep concern "over the situation currently experienced by the people of Indonesia".
IPA groups state oil and gas company Pertamina and its oil and gas contractors. (jsk)
