Apple has officially released iOS 26.4 with several updates, including an AI-based playlist creation feature in Apple Music and eight new emojis. Monitoring by Kompastekno indicates that iOS 26.4 is now available in Indonesia, downloadable from 25 March, and installable via Settings > General > Software Update. In an official statement, Apple noted that this update also brings bug fixes and security enhancements. Several new features are introduced across various aspects, from entertainment and productivity to accessibility. One of the most prominent improvements is in Apple Music. Apple now offers the Playlist Playground (beta) feature, allowing users to create music playlists simply by writing a description. Additionally, Apple has added the Concerts feature, which helps users find nearby concerts from their favourite artists. This feature can also recommend new musicians based on users’ listening activity. Not only that, the iOS 26.4 update enables users to recognise songs without an internet connection through the Offline Music Recognise feature in the Control Center. The results from this feature will be displayed automatically once the device reconnects to the internet. Besides the main features in Apple Music, iOS 26.4 also brings several useful minor updates for everyday digital conversations. Apple has added eight new emojis, including orca whale, trombone, landslide, ballet dancer, and a face with a distorted expression. The Freeform app has also received enhancements with more advanced image creation and editing features. Users can access a premium content library through Apple Creator Studio. In other aspects, the Reminders feature has been upgraded. Users can now tag tasks as “urgent” and filter them in Smart Lists for easier prioritisation. Apple has also improved keyboard accuracy, particularly for quick typing. This is expected to make the typing experience more comfortable and error-free. Furthermore, Apple has refined the Liquid Glass animation reduction feature for users sensitive to screen motion. Subtitle and caption settings are now easier to access, customise, and preview when watching content. Apple is rumoured to release the first beta of iOS 26.5 soon. This update is expected to bring new features for Siri, Apple’s virtual assistant, as well as improvements to Apple Intelligence technology. These features are reportedly supported by Google’s Gemini AI model. Apple has previously collaborated with Google to utilise this technology in developing Personal Intelligence features and other AI capabilities. As gathered by KompasTekno from 9to5Mac, in the future, Apple is also predicted to introduce broader AI-based features in the iOS 27 update. This operating system is scheduled to be introduced at WWDC 2026 in June, before being released to the public after a beta phase in September 2026.
