Investors eye Kalimantan
JAKARTA (JP): A number of investors from the neighboring
Malaysian state of Sabah have been eying natural resources of
Central Kalimantan province.
Abdul Karim, head of the provincial investment board, told
newsmen over the weekend that some 100 Sabah businessmen, to be
led by Sabah chief minister Dato Yong Teck Lei, were scheduled to
visit the province next March to explore the possibility of
making investment here.
He was quoted by Antara as saying that the Sabah investors
were interested in plantation, animal husbandry, forestry and
mining businesses.
