Investors Beware! Four Stocks on UMA Radar

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — The Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) is closely monitoring patterns of Unusual Market Activity (UMA) for four stocks simultaneously starting from Tuesday, 28 April 2026. These issuers are under scrutiny due to unjustified rises in their share prices.

The four stocks are PT Bintang Samudera Mandiri Lines Tbk. (BSML), PT Pacific Strategic Financial Tbk. (APIC), PT Golden Eagle Energy Tbk. (SMMT), and PT Megalestari Epack Sentosaraya Tbk. (EPAC).

BSML has recorded a 24.4% increase over the past month. Meanwhile, APIC rose 63%, SMMT 120.49%, and EPAC 92.5%.

Quoting the BEI’s disclosure of information, these stocks are moving outside their normal patterns. This step is taken to protect investors, particularly the third-party shareholders of these issuers.

“The announcement of Unusual Market Activity (UMA) does not necessarily indicate any violation of capital market regulations,” BEI management stated, as quoted from its official website.

The latest information regarding BSML, which is a sea shipping issuer, dates back to 20 April 2026, published via the PT Indonesia Stock Exchange website concerning the submission of proof of advertisement for the annual financial report.

“In connection with the occurrence of UMA on BSML shares, we would like to state that the Exchange is currently observing the developments in the transaction patterns of this stock,” it added.

With this announcement, investors are expected to pay attention to the issuers’ responses to the Exchange’s confirmation requests, review the issuers’ performance and disclosures, re-evaluate any planned corporate actions if they have not yet received shareholders’ approval, and consider various potential future developments before making investment decisions.

Similarly to BSML, the BEI is giving special attention to APIC shares due to transaction volatility deemed unjustified. The latest details on APIC are contained in the disclosure of information dated 24 April 2026 regarding the monthly report on securities holder registration (correction).

On the other hand, the BEI is also scrutinising SMMT’s transactions due to their unjustified nature. Previously, the company had published a monthly exploration activity report on 10 April 2026.

Not stopping there, the exchange is also highlighting trading in EPAC shares. This issuer last reported a disclosure on 27 April 2026 regarding negotiations for a planned takeover of the company.
