Investor Stabs Financial Influencer After Following Stock Tips That Led to Losses

A man in his 20s has been arrested by police in Busan, South Korea, after allegedly attacking a financial influencer with a sharp weapon. The suspect is accused of stabbing the YouTuber, who is in his 40s, in a commercial building in Nam District on Sunday. According to the Busan Nambu Police Station, the suspect fled the scene immediately after the attack but was later apprehended. The victim, known for running a stock investment channel, sustained serious injuries but is not in a life-threatening condition. Police investigations revealed that the suspect was a subscriber to the victim’s channel and harboured a grudge after incurring investment losses, which he believed resulted from following the YouTuber’s stock recommendations. Authorities stated that the suspect had tracked the victim’s location before carrying out the premeditated attack. Police are continuing to investigate the exact motive and plan to request an arrest warrant for the suspect on charges of attempted murder.
