Investor in Sukabumi Claims IDR 218 Billion Loss After Funding MBG Programme
The controversy surrounding the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme in Sukabumi, West Java, has come under scrutiny. Businessman H Mujazin claims to have suffered losses of up to IDR 218 billion after providing bridging funds for the programme’s pioneer kitchens.
The chairman of the Kharisma Cendekia Indonesia Foundation (KCI) presented evidence he had gathered, including a Memorandum of Understanding document numbered 02/MoU.02/IX/2025, dated 2 September 2025. The document was signed by Mujazin and Lodewyk Pusung, who was then serving as Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).
The MoU stipulated the transfer of management rights for 97 independent nutritional fulfilment service units (SPPG) to Yayasan KCI, conditional upon the deposit of bridging funds. “So the total amount, as written in the contract, is IDR 218,250,000,000. The first stage of payment, amounting to IDR 62,250,000,000, was made in August 2025,” said Mujazin’s lawyer, Ahmad Yazdi, as reported by detikJabar on Friday (12/6/2026).
Following the initial signing, Mujazin handed over further large sums. The remaining amounts, IDR 99 billion and IDR 66 billion, were paid via cheque, after which the trouble began. Mujazin was allegedly not granted the rights promised under the BGN’s commitment. The targeted handover of management for the 97 MBG kitchens within two weeks reportedly never materialised, leaving Mujazin with substantial losses. “The fact is, it was a bust,” Yazdi asserted.
When Mujazin sought repayment, the BGN officials at the time allegedly shifted responsibility among themselves. From Dadan Hindayana and Sony Sonjaya to Nanik S Deyang, none have been able to realise the cooperation as promised.
