Investments Flow In, Job Opportunities Remain Open – Metropolis

In contrast to the majority of companies nationwide that are starting to hold back on recruitment, Batam is showing a different direction. In this industrial city, job opportunities remain open, in line with the continuous influx of investments.

Rafki Rasyid, Chairman of the Indonesian Employers Association (Apindo) in Batam, emphasised that the business conditions in Batam remain relatively stable. Even the need for labour persists, especially in the manufacturing sector.

“For Batam, there are still many job vacancies. Investments are still flowing in, so employment opportunities remain open,” he stated on Wednesday (15/4).

According to Rafki, Batam’s position as a free trade and industrial zone makes it continue to be attractive to investors, particularly for the manufacturing sector and supporting industries.
