Investment Realization in Indonesia Q2 2026: Foreign Increases, Domestic Decreases

According to a report from the Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industry/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), investment in Indonesia in the second quarter of 2026 amounted to around IDR511.8 trillion.

The value grew by 7.1% year-on-year (yoy) and increased by 2.61% quarter-on-quarter (qtq).

β€œIn the second quarter alone, the employment absorbed 742,293 people, an increase of 5.1% (yoy),” explained Minister of Investment and Downstream Industry/Head of BKPM, Rosan Perkasa Roeslani at a press conference on Thursday (16/7/2026).

Of the total investment in the second quarter of 2026, 50.4% was foreign direct investment (FDI) worth IDR257.7 trillion, rising by around 27.47% (yoy) and increasing by 3.10% (qtq).

Meanwhile, 49.6% was domestic investment (PMDN) worth IDR254.1 trillion, declining by 7.76% (yoy) and increasing by 2.11% (qtq).

The total investment realization in the second quarter of 2026, which reached IDR511.8 trillion, is equivalent to 25.1% of the 2026 investment target of IDR2,041.3 trillion.
