Investment Realisation Reaches Rp942.9 Trillion in First Half of 2025, Growing 13.6%

Jakarta: The Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) recorded that investment realisation reached Rp942.9 trillion through the first half of 2025. Investment realisation grew 13.6 per cent and has reached 49.5 per cent of this year's target of Rp1,905.6 trillion.

"Investment realisation in Indonesia in the first half of 2025 broke through Rp942.9 trillion, increasing 13.6 per cent year-on-year. Against this year's target, it has reached approximately 49.48 per cent," said Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM Rosan Perkasa Roeslani at a press conference on Tuesday, 29 July 2025.

Rosan stated that investment realisation comprised foreign direct investment (FDI) of Rp432.6 trillion or 45.9 per cent of the total, whilst domestic direct investment (DDI) amounted to Rp510.3 trillion or 54.1 per cent of total realisation in the first half of 2025.

By regional contribution, investment realisation on the island of Java was recorded at Rp466.9 trillion or 49.5 per cent of the overall total in the first half of 2025. Meanwhile, investment outside Java reached Rp476.0 trillion or 50.5 per cent of total investment realisation.

"Investment realisation in the second quarter absorbed 665,764 Indonesian workers. Meanwhile, throughout the first half of this year, Indonesian workforce absorption reached 1,259,868 people," he said.

**Top five investment realisations**

Through the first half of 2025, the highest investment realisation was in West Java at Rp141.0 trillion or 15.0 per cent, followed by DKI Jakarta at Rp140.8 trillion or 14.9 per cent, East Java at Rp74.7 trillion or 7.9 per cent, Central Sulawesi at Rp64.2 trillion or 6.8 per cent, and Banten at Rp60.7 trillion or 6.4 per cent.

For FDI, West Java still ranked first with USD4.0 billion or 14.7 per cent, Central Sulawesi USD3.7 billion or 13.9 per cent, DKI Jakarta USD3.2 billion or 11.7 per cent, North Maluku USD2.5 billion or 9.3 per cent, and Central Java USD1.6 billion or 5.9 per cent.

For DDI, investment in DKI Jakarta reached Rp90.4 trillion or 17.7 per cent, West Java Rp77.5 trillion or 15.2 per cent, East Java Rp51.0 trillion or 10.0 per cent, Banten Rp35.3 trillion or 6.9 per cent, and East Kalimantan Rp32.4 trillion or 6.4 per cent.
