Investment Realisation Reaches Rp465.2 Trillion in First Quarter of 2025

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) recorded that investment realisation in the first quarter of 2025 reached Rp465.2 trillion, or 24.4 per cent of the government's 2025 target of Rp1,905.6 trillion.

Investment and Downstreaming Minister/Head of BKPM Rosan Perkasa Roeslani said the investment realisation increased 2.7 per cent from the fourth quarter of 2024, which stood at Rp452.8 trillion. On an annual basis, it rose 15.9 per cent compared to the first quarter of 2024, which recorded Rp401.5 trillion.

"One of our goals is to create employment opportunities — this is very important. Some 594,104 new jobs were created from the Rp465.2 trillion in investment generated, an increase of approximately 8.5 per cent from the previous year," he said at a press conference on Tuesday, 29 April.

Rosan added that the investment realisation was supported by both foreign direct investment (PMA) and domestic investment (PMDN). PMA accounted for 49.5 per cent or Rp230.4 trillion, rising 12.7 per cent year-on-year. PMDN contributed 50.5 per cent or Rp234.8 trillion, increasing 19.1 per cent on an annual basis.

Investment realisation outside Java reached Rp235.9 trillion or 50.7 per cent of the total, whilst investment in Java stood at Rp229.3 trillion. Investment outside Java in the first quarter of 2025 grew 17.4 per cent year-on-year, whilst investment in Java also rose 14.3 per cent year-on-year.
