Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — The Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industries/BKPM recorded that investment realisation up to the second quarter of 2025 had reached Rp 475 trillion.

Deputy Minister of Investment and Downstream Industries Todotua Pasaribu revealed that this year's investment target has been set at Rp 1,900 trillion. Investment realisation in the first quarter had already reached Rp 465 trillion, whilst preliminary reports for the second quarter also showed secure results at Rp 475 trillion.

"This year there is a target of around Rp 1,900 trillion, and what I wish to convey is that the first and second quarters are already on track. The first quarter has been released at Rp 465 trillion and the second quarter has come in at Rp 475 trillion," said Todotua at the Pertamina Investor Day event in Jakarta on Wednesday (16 July 2025).

According to him, President Prabowo Subianto's administration has set a target of 8 per cent economic growth. To achieve this target, investment serves as one of the primary engines of growth. Over the next five years, investment realisation is expected to reach approximately Rp 13,000 trillion.

On the other hand, the ministry acknowledged that achieving investment realisation targets in the third and fourth quarters would be quite challenging.

"This is indeed quite challenging because of global economic factors that we must monitor — how we can absorb this investment realisation so that its impact can be truly significant for economic growth," he said.
