Investment Realisation Reaches Rp 465.2 Trillion in Q1 2025, Growing 15.9% Year-on-Year
The Ministry of Investment/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) has reported that investment realisation in the first quarter of 2025 reached Rp 465.2 trillion, equivalent to 24.4% of the 2025 target of Rp 1,905.6 trillion.
Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM Rosan Roeslani said the figure grew 15.9% year-on-year and 2.7% quarter-on-quarter.
"This is in line with our targets and expectations," Rosan said at a press conference in Jakarta on Monday (29/4).
The investment realisation absorbed 594,104 Indonesian workers, representing growth of 8.5% year-on-year. "This is one of the very positive indicators amid rising geopolitical and economic tensions," he said.
Rosan detailed that foreign direct investment (PMA) reached Rp 230.4 trillion, growing 12.7% year-on-year, whilst domestic investment (PMDN) was recorded at Rp 234.8 trillion.
Areas outside Java continued to dominate investment realisation in Q1 2025, reaching Rp 235.9 trillion or growing 17.4% year-on-year, whilst Java recorded Rp 229.3 trillion, up 14.3% year-on-year.
