Investment Minister Rosan Roeslani Downplays Discussions at Star-Studded Eid Open House
Investment and Downstream Industries Minister/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Chairman Rosan Roeslani said there were no substantive discussions during his gathering with a string of ministers and politicians who visited his residence.
"The point is, I am grateful that today many friends, colleagues and associates attended. And we just chatted casually — there was nothing heavy discussed," he told reporters after hosting guests at his Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijriah open house at his official residence in the Widya Chandra area of South Jakarta.
At the event, held on the second day of Eid al-Fitr on Tuesday, 1 April 2025, Rosan said he only shared light conversation, such as which foods or drinks certain colleagues could or could not eat.
"We basically talked about food and drinks," he said. "Vegetable soup — some dared to eat it, others didn't, afraid of cholesterol," the head of the Daya Anagata Nusantara (Danantara) sovereign wealth fund recounted of the topics discussed at the gathering.
According to Tempo's observations, the open house at Rosan's residence ran from 3:00 pm to approximately 7:00 pm local time. The event was attended by a lineup of ministers, politicians and business figures.
Among those present were Housing and Settlement Minister Maruarar Sirait; Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono; Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana; Migrant Worker Protection Minister Abdul Kadir Karding; Creative Economy Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya; and National Development Planning Minister (PPN/Bappenas) Rachmat Pambudy.
Also in attendance were Transmigration Minister Iftitah Sulaiman; Deputy Trade Minister Dyah Roro Esti Widya Putri; Deputy BKPM Minister Todotua Pasaribu; and National Nutrition Agency Head Dadan Hindayana.
Additionally, Gerindra Party Secretary-General Ahmad Muzani; Danantara Chief Investment Operational Pandu Sjahrir; People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Deputy Chairman Bambang Soesatyo (Bamsoet); PT Pertamina President Commissioner Mochamad Iriawan (Iwan Bule); Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Chairman Anindya Bakrie; Kadin Advisory Council Chairman Arsjad Rasjid; East Java Deputy Governor Emil Dardak and his wife Arumi Bachsin were among the dozens of Rosan's associates who attended.
