Investment and Downstreaming Minister/Head of BKPM Rosan Roeslani has revealed that the scope of commodities to be handled by PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI) will be expanded.

For the initial stage, DSI will focus on three main commodities with large export values, namely palm oil, coal, and ferro alloy.

“Later, there will definitely be an expansion of commodities. There will definitely be,” said Rosan after a press conference on the 2027 State Budget Plan and Financial Note at the DJP Office on Friday (14/8).

Rosan explained that the government has initially selected three commodities because they are considered to have significant economic value and export contribution.

“For now, it is only three first because those three are the main and largest ones,” he said.

He detailed that coal exports reach around USD 30 billion. Meanwhile, exports of crude palm oil (CPO) and its derivative products are in the range of USD 20 billion to USD 24 billion.

“Because if we look at coal, it is USD 30 billion, then CPO and its derivatives are USD 20 to USD 24 billion, and the other one is ferro alloy,” said Rosan.

Previously, Rosan emphasised that DSI is not designed to become a sole exporter that controls all commodities and then exports them itself.
