Investment Minister Confident Rp1,905 Trillion Target Can Be Met Despite Global Geopolitical Dynamics
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Rosan Roeslani expressed confidence that the investment target of Rp1,905 trillion by the end of 2025, or over the remaining three quarters, can be achieved despite global geopolitical dynamics such as trade wars.
"We at the Ministry of Investment are quite optimistic about the next three quarters, although we must admit it will not be easy," he said after a press conference on Tuesday.
Rosan explained that this optimism stems from existing investment commitments in Indonesia that are currently underway, meaning his ministry must ensure these commitments are realised so that the capital investment targets are met.
"The most important thing for us is how those commitments can be turned into implementation. Because only when they become implementation can we record them," he added.
He further noted that of the total investment achievement for 2025, the contribution of the downstreaming sector to capital investment in Indonesia is predicted to reach 30 per cent.
Furthermore, for the first quarter of 2025, his ministry recorded investment realisation of Rp465.2 trillion, or 24.4 per cent of the total annual investment target.
