Academic Iswadi has commended the performance of the government under the leadership of Prabowo Subianto and Minister of Investment and Hilirisasi/Head of BKPM Rosan Roeslani in promoting investment as a pillar of national economic growth. Iswadi assessed that the investment achievements in the first quarter of 2026 demonstrate a more concrete and measurable direction for economic development, particularly as they directly contribute to economic growth and job creation. Data from the first quarter of 2026 shows that investment is no longer merely about chasing realisation figures but is beginning to show quality through its contributions to economic growth and job creation. “This is an important indicator that the government’s investment policies are on the right track,” said Iswadi in his statement in Jakarta on Sunday (10/5). According to him, the 32 percent contribution of investment to national economic growth reflects the government’s success in maintaining investor confidence amid the still uncertain dynamics of the global economy. “Amid global challenges that remain full of uncertainty, the economic growth achievement of 5.61 percent and investment realisation of nearly Rp500 trillion in the first quarter is a strong signal that Indonesia has solid economic fundamentals and competitive investment attractiveness,” he stated. Iswadi also assessed that the consistency of hilirisasi policies, bureaucratic reforms, and accelerated licensing forms the main foundation that strengthens the investment climate in Indonesia. “If the consistency of these policies is maintained, the national investment target for 2026 of Rp2,041.3 trillion is very realistic to achieve,” he said.
