Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Hatta Rajasa said all public-private partnership (PPP) invesment projects would be handled by the Capital Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM).

"Later PPP investments in all ministries will be referred to BKPM," he said here on Monday.

He said various ministry projects requiring private participation were at present processed at the National Development Planning Board (Bappenas).

"Later they will be handed over to BKPM so that their administration will be centralized and therefore more simple," he said.

"The idea is like that. God willing it can be realized this year," he said.

Asked if PPP projects in the regions would be included he said positively. "They must. It is not that the complexities are there. So they must be settled," he said.

He said he had already discussed it with BKPM chief Gita Wirjawan.

"Projects from ministries would be discussed until reaching the Bluebook at the Bappenas. But after that they would be handed to BKPM and so they would be centralized," he said.

In view of that he said anyone wishing to invest later he would only need to see the Bluebook and need not go the ministries concerned.

"We wish process will be centralized at BKPM to make it simple," he said.(*)
