The Jakarta Metropolitan Police (Polda Metro Jaya) has confirmed that the legal process against three other suspects in the case of alleged fake diplomas belonging to Indonesia’s 7th President, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), is still ongoing. Investigators are continuing legal proceedings against the three suspects who are part of the first cluster. The three are Kurnia Tri Rohyani, Rustam Effendi, and Muhammad Rizal Fadillah. “The case is still being processed,” said Polda Metro Jaya Head of Public Relations, Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto, to reporters on Monday (22/6). However, Budi did not disclose further details regarding the legal process for the three individuals. “We will provide an update from the investigators later,” he stated. Previously, Polda Metro Jaya had named eight suspects in the case of the alleged fake diploma of Jokowi. These eight suspects are divided into two clusters. The first cluster consists of five suspects: Eggi Sudjana, Kurnia Tri Rohyani, Damai Hari Lubis, Rustam Effendi, and Muhammad Rizal Fadillah. The second cluster consists of three suspects: Roy Suryo, Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar, and Tifauziah Tyassuma, also known as dr Tifa. From the first cluster, Eggi and Damai have applied for restorative justice (RJ). The request was accepted, and the police have halted the investigation into both individuals, issuing a Warrant to Terminate Investigation (SP3). Meanwhile, for the second cluster, Rismon also applied for RJ. This request was also accepted, and the police have halted the investigation and issued an SP3. As for Roy and Tifa, their case files have been declared complete, or P-21. Roy and Tifa were also transferred to the South Jakarta District Prosecutor’s Office (Kejari Jaksel) on Monday (22/6).
