Inventory items stolen from Karang Taruna in Central Jakarta
Inventory items belonging to the Bungur Village Karang Taruna secretariat in Central Jakarta, including musical instruments, screen printing equipment, and electronics, have been stolen, with estimated losses exceeding Rp100 million.
Muhammad Rizky Fitrianto, chairman of the Bungur Village Karang Taruna for the 2026-2031 term, stated on Tuesday in Jakarta that the theft occurred before he assumed office. The stolen items comprised a full set of musical instruments (drums, guitars, bass guitar, and amplifier), screen printing tools, a press, and several electronic devices.
Rizky said the items were stolen prior to his official appointment, but due to the significant loss, he and the previous chairman reported the incident to the Central Jakarta Metro Police Station. A report was filed on 15 May 2026, but there have been no developments so far.
“The police have processed the crime scene, but no summonses have been issued yet,” Rizky added. He noted that only three individuals held the secretariat keys before the theft: a hansip, a RW representative, and Arip.
Meanwhile, AKBP Robby Heri Saputra, head of the Criminal Investigation Unit at Central Jakarta Metro Police, confirmed the report and stated that summonses are currently being issued solely for clarification purposes.
“Currently, summonses are only being issued for clarification,” Robby said.
