Inul Daratista makes time for family during Ramadan

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Singer Inul Daratista uses Ramadan as a time to spend with her family and enhance family harmony. “For me and Mas Adam, Ramadan is very special. It’s a moment to reset every year on how to create harmony in the family, which is not easy,” she said at the “Ramadan Media Gathering 2026” held by Frisian Flag Indonesia in Jakarta on Thursday. “During Ramadan, we can spend more time together,” said Inul, who mentioned that suhoor and iftar are the best times to strengthen family relationships. Inul said that she and her husband often prepare meals together for the family’s iftar meal. “My message to fathers or husbands is to appreciate their wives who prepare the dishes, especially during Ramadan,” said Adam Suseno, Inul’s husband. “Even if they can’t help with cooking, at least they can make takjil. Nowadays, it’s not difficult, so help, be appreciated, and be there for each other,” he added. According to Inul, the habit of preparing iftar meals together at home can bring warmth to the household. Doctor and health educator Gia Pratama conveyed the importance of fulfilling nutritional needs during fasting. “So, we must agree that fasting reduces calories, not limits nutrients. During suhoor, we must also fulfill vitamins and minerals. Where can we get them? From vegetables, fruits, and milk,” she said. She said that the needs for carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, and minerals must be met during suhoor and iftar so that the body remains energetic while fasting. General Affairs Director of Frisian Flag Indonesia, Andrew Saputro, said that the company is striving to raise public awareness about the importance of fulfilling nutritional needs while fasting during Ramadan. “We want to invite Indonesian families to continue paying attention to balanced nutritional intake during Ramadan so that they can carry out their worship optimally,” said Andrew.
