Int'l women's film festival to be held
JAKARTA (JP): A four-day International Women's Film Festival will be staged in Jakarta with the first screening to be held on Sept. 20.
The 34 films will be shown at several places, including the Erasmus Huis, the Australian Embassy and the Ministry of Home Affairs' new office.
Among the countries expected to participate in the event are: Australia, Belgian, France, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the United States.
The festival's coordinator, Amalia Pulungan, was quoted by Antara as saying that there would be a film discussion on Sept. 24 with several speakers, including J.B. Kristanto, Nan T. Achnas, Mira Lesmana, Dagmar Hirts and Chieko Kotoda. (ste)
