Internet's NASA

I am in Jakarta for a week to give a workshop in Electronic Publishing, for Indonesian publishers, at the British Council.

Myra Sidharta's article The amusing and confusing technology era (Sunday, March 30, 1997) reminded me of the first time I used the World Wide Web on the Internet.

I wanted to see the NASA photographs of the comet Shoemaker- Levy hitting Jupiter. I searched on NASA and found myself on the home page of the North American Square-Dancing Association! The wrong NASA, but a good example of the coverage of the Internet.
