Amid the ongoing post-earthquake recovery process in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), MoraRepublic has confirmed that its connectivity services in the region remain fully operational while also providing support to affected communities through the distribution of basic food aid.

The earthquake that struck NTT on 15 August 2026 has impacted communities and infrastructure across several areas. Amid the ongoing recovery process, digital connectivity has become an essential need to support communication, coordination, access to information, and various community activities.

MoraRepublic has also ensured that connectivity across West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) through to NTT remains intact and 100% undisrupted. This is supported by a backbone network protected through a combination of submarine and terrestrial cables, allowing services to continue operating. MoraRepublic is also conducting real-time network monitoring to ensure network performance and quality are maintained.

To date, MoraRepublic’s network infrastructure is operating well, providing connectivity services to customers while supporting the internet access needs of communities in NTT.

As connectivity demand has increased following the earthquake, traffic on MoraRepublic’s backbone has also risen, including from requests by other affected telecommunications operators. Nevertheless, the increase in traffic has been managed effectively, ensuring that customer services continue to run optimally.

Beyond maintaining connectivity, MoraRepublic has also demonstrated its concern for earthquake-affected communities through the distribution of basic food aid. Aid distribution has been carried out in several areas of NTT, including Labuan Bajo, Ruteng, Bajawa, and Ende.

“In conditions like this, we believe support comes not only through connectivity but also through care for affected communities. Therefore, in addition to ensuring our network remains operational, MoraRepublic is also providing support in the form of basic food aid for communities in several areas of NTT,” said MoraRepublic Chief Executive Officer Timotius Max Sulaiman, as quoted from an official statement on Sunday (23/8).

The aid is intended to help meet community needs during the post-earthquake recovery process. This support is part of MoraRepublic’s commitment to be present not only as a provider of digital infrastructure and services but also as part of the community, contributing in situations that require solidarity and the spirit of mutual cooperation, while delivering sustainable positive impacts for the people of Indonesia.

MoraRepublic will continue to monitor network conditions across its operational areas and ensure that infrastructure and connectivity services remain maintained. This commitment is part of MoraRepublic’s efforts to support the continuity of digital activities while making a tangible contribution to communities across various regions of Indonesia.
