International Women's Day reception held in Beijing

Beijing (ANTARA) - The All-China Women’s Federation held a reception in Beijing on Friday (6/3) to mark International Women’s Day which falls on March 8. A member of the State Council Shen Yiqin, who is also president of the federation, delivered a speech at the event. Shen said during China’s 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030), hundreds of millions of Chinese women will contribute to providing wisdom and strength to build a great nation and advance national renewal. Highlighting the transformations and turbulence facing the world, Shen said China is ready to work with all parties to fully implement the spirit of the Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women, deepen exchanges and cooperation, and make new contributions to global development for women and the advancement of human civilization.
