Throughout January to December 2025, Indonesia recorded 15.39 million international tourist visits.

The average spending per arrival (ASPA) stood at US$1,267. This achievement exceeded the 2025 Government Work Plan (RKP) target.

Meanwhile, domestic tourist trips cumulatively reached 1.2 billion journeys throughout 2025, surpassing the RKP target of 1.08 billion trips and setting the highest figure ever recorded.

Heading into 2026, the government has set a target of 16 million to 17.6 million international tourist visits and 1.18 billion domestic tourist trips.

Efforts to achieve these targets will focus on improving destination quality, strengthening connectivity, developing events, and delivering more targeted, market-based promotion.

Reaching these goals will require collaboration among all stakeholders within the tourism ecosystem, from central and regional government, business operators and communities, through to the general public.

“With strong collaboration and shared commitment, Indonesian tourism is expected to continue growing sustainably, delivering ever-wider benefits and serving as a driver of prosperity for communities across the nation,” said Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana.
