International-standard instructors to train 400 state-owned enterprise employees under the Presidential Future Leaders Programme
Jakarta — Deputy Minister of Defence Donny Ermawan Taufanto said the government will deploy international-standard instructors to educate 400 employees of state-owned enterprises (BUMN) under the Presidential Future Leaders Programme (PFLP). The PFLP programme is run by the government to improve performance quality as well as nationalism and discipline among BUMN personnel. ‘Many instructors, both domestic and international, will be brought in to impart knowledge to them,’ Donny said when speaking to media at the Indonesian Army Education and Training Command (Kodiklat TNI) headquarters in Tangerang Selatan, on Wednesday. In addition to teaching managerial knowledge, the international-level instructors will also educate PFLP participants in the fields of decision making, analytical processes, and cyber and security. All of these disciplines, Donny said, are complementary elements and are very much needed to run a large organisation or company. However, before undergoing education at Danantara, participants must undertake three months of basic military education at Kodiklat TNI. The military education, he continued, is intended to boost discipline and nationalism among BUMN employees. After completing education at Kodiklat TNI and Danantara, 400 participants will undergo a two-month internship at BUMN companies. ‘Total duration of PFLP training is nine months,’ Donny said. With this nine-month training period, Donny hopes the participants will become high-quality BUMN personnel capable of advancing the nation.
