International bus involved in crash

ENTIKONG, West Kalimantan: A bus serving Pontianak in West
Kalimantan and Kuching in the Malaysian state of Serawak collided
with a van 30 kilometers from the Malaysian border.

All 20 passengers aboard the bus escaped unhurt although the
vehicle suffered heavy damage, Antara reported yesterday.

Tuesday's collision reportedly occurred because the van, which
was in front of the bus, slowed up suddenly to make a right turn
without prior warning. (emb)
