International Airlines Cancel Middle East Flights Following Israeli Strike on Iran
Jakarta – Several international flights from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport to the Middle East region have been cancelled following Israel’s strike on Iran on Sunday, 1 March 2026.
Airspace closures across several countries in the region have prevented airlines from operating flights according to schedule.
Acting Assistant Deputy for Communication and Legal at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Aziz Fahmi Harahap, confirmed the cancellation of several Middle East route flights.
“There are several Middle East route flights experiencing departure cancellations,” stated Aziz in a written statement on Sunday.
Etihad Airways has cancelled all flights to and from Abu Dhabi. Qatar Airways has cancelled all flights to and from Doha. Emirates has cancelled flights to and from Dubai.
Oman Air continues to operate the Soekarno-Hatta–Muscat route. However, flights to and from Dammam, Amman, and Dubai have been temporarily suspended.
Ethiopian Airlines remains operational but has ceased operations to Amman (Jordan) and Tel Aviv (Israel) from today onwards until further notice.
Saudia Airlines is currently assessing several Middle East destinations.
Malaysia Airlines is not operating flights to and from all cities in Saudi Arabia. Philippine Airlines is not operating flights to and from all cities in the Middle East. IndiGo Airlines is not operating flights to and from Dubai and Abu Dhabi. SriLankan Airlines is not operating flights to and from all cities in the Middle East for the time being.
