Interior of BYD Racco electric kei car officially revealed
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The BYD Racco electric kei car (K-Car) has officially revealed its interior in Japan ahead of its market launch.
As reported by Carnewschina on Tuesday local time, the vehicle will go on sale this year at a price of approximately 2.5 million yen (USD 16,340) or around Rp275 million.
The BYD Racco's interior adopts the characteristic kei car architecture with a gear lever mounted on a short centre console, with the front seats positioned close together.
The BYD Racco features a floating touchscreen and an LCD instrument panel.
A practical block of physical buttons is provided for climate control.
The BYD Racco also has 12V, USB, and Type-C charging ports.
The Racco's centre console has storage space on top and a storage drawer. Additional storage compartments are located in the centre tunnel.
Similar to other kei cars, the Racco has a tall windscreen that provides good visibility.
Another advantage for drivers is a three-spoke steering wheel with functional buttons.
The BYD Racco also features sun visors, electric windows, electric side mirror adjustment, and heated front seats.
The seats are upholstered in white synthetic leather.
There is also a sunglasses holder on the driver's side.
The second row of the BYD Racco was not shown in the official images.
As previously reported, the second row offers two seats with adjustable headrests.
Another advantage of the Racco is its rear sliding doors on both the driver and passenger sides.
The BYD Racco is a compact urban EV with dimensions of 3,395/1,475/1,800 mm. The vehicle has a single electric motor on the front axle with a peak output of 20 kW (27 hp).
The Racco is powered by an LFP battery manufactured by BYD's subsidiary, FinDreams.
The vehicle provides a WLTC range of 180 km and supports DC charging of up to 100 kW.
