Interior Minister and other Cabinet officials attend coordination meeting at Defence Ministry building

Jakarta — Interior Minister Tito Karnavian and Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono visited the Defence Ministry building in Jakarta on Tuesday to attend a Coordination Meeting on Oversight of the President’s Strategic Programmes.

As observed at 09.54 Western Indonesia Time, ministers began arriving with their entourages and delegations. They made no comment as they passed through the waiting media personnel in the main lobby of the Defence Ministry building.

According to information obtained, the meeting was to be chaired by State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi. Several ministers and agency heads were scheduled to attend the meeting, including the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform, the Minister of Cooperatives, the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, the Minister of Education and Culture, the Minister of Health, the Interior Minister, the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education, the Head of the State Personnel Board, the Head of the Central Statistics Agency, and the Deputy Minister of Defence.

However, the specific reason for holding the meeting at the Defence Ministry building remains unclear.
