Interactive Flat Panels Reach Maumere, Creating Interactive Classroom Learning
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) has stated that its digital learning programme, through the distribution of Interactive Flat Panels (IFP), has successfully created more participatory and collaborative learning at SMASK Bhaktyarsa Maumere, Sikka Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province.
In practice, the use of the IFP devices helps teachers deliver material more dynamically through multimedia displays, simulations, and the integration of digital teaching materials.
“The presence of the IFP has greatly helped teachers to continue innovating so that learning is not monotonous. Indirectly, this also encourages the improvement of teacher professionalism in utilising technology,” said the Head of SMASK Bhaktyarsa, Sr. Marcelina Lidi, in a written statement in Jakarta on Friday.
She said the learning process, which previously relied on conventional whiteboards, has now evolved into a more interactive learning experience, where students can engage directly through discussions, presentations, and visual-based practice.
Subject teachers have also felt significant changes in the learning process.
Makrina Liliosa Elmi, a Civics Education teacher, said that with the touchscreen features and easy access to various digital learning resources, the explanation of material concepts has become more structured and easier to understand.
“The children are very enthusiastic about using the IFP. The device also adds references and variety to my teaching methods as a teacher,” she said.
Similar enthusiasm was shown by students. Material presented through animations, videos, and interactive exercises makes the classroom atmosphere feel more lively and less monotonous.
One SMASK Bhaktyarsa student, Venansius Juliano Gesiraja, said the use of the IFP makes lessons feel easier and more interesting because they are supported by various visual content.
“Using this IFP makes the material easier to understand because there are many learning videos that help. We can also complete student worksheets more practically,” he said.
The utilisation of the IFP at SMASK Bhaktyarsa Maumere provides a concrete illustration of how technology can enrich teaching methods in the classroom.
With the support of digital devices, interaction between teachers and students has become more active, material is easier to explore, and the learning atmosphere has become more vibrant.
