PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) held the wondrful Playdate KidZania event as an effort to improve financial literacy from an early age. The programme, part of BNI’s 80th anniversary celebrations, presented an interactive learning experience for children and families through various educational activities. BNI’s Director of Consumer Banking, Corina Leyla Karnalies, said the activity was designed to build a basic understanding of financial management while instilling saving habits early on. “Through wondrful Playdate KidZania, we want to provide a fun learning experience while giving a basic understanding of financial management. We believe that financial literacy instilled from an early age can help shape a generation that is more prepared, independent, and able to plan its future well,” said Corina. The activity was attended by kindergarten and primary school students from various schools along with their parents. Participants received education through the introduction of various professions, learning the importance of managing finances, simulation of saving habits through role play, and an introduction to BNI’s digital services through the wondr by BNI application. BNI stated that the entire series of activities was designed to strengthen public financial literacy and inclusion through learning methods that are easy to understand and enjoyable. In the context of BNI’s 80th anniversary, the company also provided various appreciation programmes to the public and customers. KidZania visitors received discounts of up to Rp80,000 for ticket purchases using wondr by BNI, BNI Credit Cards, or BNI Debit Cards. In addition, opening an account through the wondr by BNI application provided the opportunity to get shopping vouchers of up to Rp100,000. The event was also attended by BNI’s Director of Information Technology, Toto Prasetio, along with BNI management from the Head Office and Regional Office 15 Jakarta Senayan. The presence of management together with customers and the public is expected to expand the impact of financial literacy education to the younger generation. BNI also continues to develop digital services to meet the needs of cross-generational customers. One of these is the Life Goals feature on the wondr by BNI application, which helps people set up savings plans according to financial targets. During the period from 25 June to 31 July 2026, customers also had the opportunity to receive various appreciations, including KidZania tickets and other prizes. According to Corina, the commemoration of BNI’s eight decades is a momentum to strengthen the company’s commitment to providing relevant financial services while supporting national development. “Eight decades of BNI’s journey is a reminder that public trust is a mandate that we must continue to uphold. Therefore, BNI will continue to adapt, innovate, and provide relevant contributions to the nation’s progress and the welfare of the Indonesian people,” concluded Corina.
