Inter-village clash in East Flores leaves three injured by gunfire

Three residents of East Adonara district, East Flores Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) were wounded by gunshots from a homemade weapon during clashes between Bele hamlet residents of Waiburak village and Narasaosina village on Friday, 6 March 2026. According to data received by detikBali, the clash began over competing claims to customary land ownership. Several video posts received by detikBali show several houses set on fire, with smoke breaking the morning quiet of the community. The director of Adonara Primary Hospital, Dr. Danny Gunawan, said that since this morning three adult men were admitted to the emergency department with gunshot wounds to the thighs and legs. ‘After treatment, two have been discharged and one is still under supervision after the projectile was removed from the thigh,’ he told detikBali on Friday, 6 March 2026. Dr. Gunawan said that in addition to the men, a woman from Lewonara Narasaosina also sustained scrapes after falling due to fear. ‘She fell in the garden while running to avoid the conflict,’ he added. Meanwhile, Flores Timur Police Chief AKBP Adhitya Octoria Putra said Flores Timur Police personnel had moved to the scene. ‘We have deployed personnel there,’ he said briefly.
