The Attorney General’s Office (AGO), through its Intelligence Division, is monitoring the free nutritious meals (MBG) programme as one of the national priorities. The AGO is collaborating with the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) on data exchange and preventing deviations through an integrated intelligence approach.

This was conveyed by the Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence (Jamintel), Reda Manthovani, during a synergy event for supervision and evaluation of national nutrition fulfilment in Tuban and Bojonegoro Regencies, East Java, on Wednesday (1/4/2026). In his remarks, Reda emphasised that MBG is an implementation to enhance human resource quality, targeting school participants, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers.

Reda explained that this aligns with Presidential Regulation No. 115 of 2025, which mandates cross-sectoral synergy to ensure accountability and targeting accuracy in the programme. Additionally, cooperation is extended to the village level through partnerships with the National Association of Village Consultative Bodies (ABPEDNAS).

“ABPEDNAS is our strategic partner in the field for early detection, actual data collection, and participatory monitoring to ensure the programme runs accountably at the village level,” said Reda.

Preventive Approach and Digital Technology

The Prosecutor’s Office is optimising intelligence functions through three supervision pillars. The upstream stage as quality control and readiness of service units, the process stage: transparent and measurable distribution systems, and the downstream stage: validation of beneficiaries and public feedback.

To support supervision effectiveness, the Prosecutor’s Office utilises digital information technology for real-time monitoring. This system functions as an early warning system to detect potential Threats, Disturbances, Obstacles, and Challenges (AGHT), such as budget misuse or distribution constraints.

Addressing Field Challenges

Based on monitoring results in the Tuban and Bojonegoro areas, several dynamics related to distribution aspects and service unit readiness were found. In response, Reda affirmed that the Prosecutor’s Office prioritises a preventive approach.

“Every potential problem is addressed through administrative mechanisms, guidance, and education before resorting to law enforcement steps,” said Reda.

The ‘Jaga Dapur MBG’ application emerges as a strategic digital instrument to strengthen transparency and accountability in the supply chain and distribution of the MBG programme managed by the National Nutrition Agency. Through synergy with the Prosecutor’s Intelligence Division, this application functions as a real-time monitoring system that oversees food quality, service unit readiness, and beneficiary validity to prevent potential budget deviations or field distribution issues.

The use of this technology enables the creation of an early warning system capable of quickly detecting disruptions, allowing corrective actions to be promptly taken by law enforcement and programme implementers to maintain the integrity of national policy execution.

With integrated digital-based supervision, Reda hopes that every portion of food reaching school participants, pregnant women, and toddlers truly meets the established nutritional standards without administrative or technical barriers.

Ultimately, he said, the successful utilisation of the ‘Jaga Dapur MBG’ application is expected not only to ensure programme governance efficiency but also to serve as an important foundation in producing a healthy, intelligent, and productive generation to realise the grand vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.

On the same occasion, Irjen Pol (Ret.) Sony Sonjaya, as Deputy Head of the Agency, expressed the highest appreciation and thanks to Reda Manthovani. He stated that the application provides a sense of security in conducting field operations.

“Your commitment in supporting this programme through a strategic memorandum of understanding is an important pillar for us. The support from the Prosecutor’s Intelligence Division in securing strategic programmes and the use of digital technology through the ‘Jaga Dapur MBG’ application for real-time monitoring provides us with a sense of security in conducting field operations,” he said.

“In the Tuban and Bojonegoro regions, distribution challenges and service unit readiness are dynamics that we must face together. With assistance from Prosecutor’s colleagues and strategic partners like ABPEDNAS, we are optimistic that the programme’s governance will maintain its integrity,” he added.
