Intel Corporation reported its strongest revenue growth in more than 15 years, with second-quarter revenue surging 25 per cent year-on-year to $16.1 billion, amid rising demand for artificial intelligence computing. In its quarterly financial report, Intel said its gross margin improved to 40.4 per cent from 27.5 per cent in Q2 2025. However, the California-based company also reported a net loss of $11 billion, widening from $2.9 billion in the same period last year. Meanwhile, Intel’s data centre and AI business posted revenue of $6.3 billion, up 59 per cent year-on-year. Revenue from the client computing and physical AI business rose 13 per cent to $8.9 billion. “AI is driving unprecedented demand for computing,” said Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan, adding that the company is positioned to pursue growth across multiple areas, including central processing units, custom chips, advanced packaging, and semiconductor manufacturing. For the third quarter, Intel expects revenue to be in the range of $15.8 billion to $16.8 billion.
