Jakarta (ANTARA) - Intel has introduced the latest Intel Core Series 3 processors, which offer high performance, power efficiency, and support for artificial intelligence (AI) processing. “Amid rising prices and changing expectations, Intel Core Series 3 raises the bar for computing in the value segment with exceptional battery life, higher AI performance, and a wide range of ecosystem options,” said Josh Newman, General Manager and Vice President of Consumer PC, Client Computing Group at Intel, in his statement in Jakarta on Friday. The processors are built on the foundation of the Intel Core Ultra Series 3 architecture, codenamed Panther Lake, and produced using Intel’s 18A manufacturing process. Intel states that the series is designed to meet the needs of student devices, small businesses, families, and industries, with a focus on performance, power efficiency, and readiness for AI features. One of the main capabilities of Intel Core Series 3 is hybrid AI-ready support with performance up to 40 TOPS at the platform level, enabling it to handle various AI workloads directly on the device. Intel Core Series 3 is designed with long battery life, offering up to 2.1 times faster content creation and productivity performance, up to 64 per cent lower processor power consumption, and up to 2.7 times higher AI GPU performance compared to the previous generation, Intel Core 7 150U. In addition to laptops, Intel Core Series 3 is also intended for edge devices such as point-of-sale (POS) systems, smart buildings, smart metering, and robotics. In those sectors, the processors are designed to handle AI processing based on computer vision and voice while maintaining cost efficiency and power consumption. Intel states that systems based on Intel Core Series 3 for consumer and commercial use will begin to be available through OEM partners starting 16 April 2026 and will continue to expand throughout the year. Several laptop brands that will be powered by Intel Core Series 3 processors include Acer, Asus, HP, Lenovo, MSI, Samsung, Honor, Infinix, Tecno, and Dell.
