Integrity is everything

Integrity is everything

From Sinar Pagi

I am not a political observer, but I have noticed that the
current political situation seems to be becoming increasingly
unhealthy. How is it that state problems are equal to an
individual's emotional problems?

I would like to remind Indonesians, and particularly those who
are religious, that we are obliged to maintain the integrity of
our territory, nation and state. Don't mix up the individual
characters of officials with the organizations they once led.
Such an attitude cannot be justified.

Clashes among us are useless. They will only lead to
catastrophe. Just remember the Indonesian proverb: "The loser
will turn into dust and the winner into charcoal", and according
to Islamic teachings, they will all go to hell, and in hell
nobody will help them. To avoid this disaster, please apologize
to and always remember God Almighty, and the prophet Muhammad.

To all Indonesian officials I appeal that you follow the great
prophet Muhammad's leadership. As a prophet, he could unite all
Muslims around the globe. But why in Indonesia, which used to be
an amiable and peaceful country, are there conflicts now. Is
defending an organization more important than maintaining this
beloved country?
