Integration Process of UIN Jakarta Educational Units Agreed Upon
UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has confirmed that disputes related to the assets and management of its educational units—namely Madrasah Pembangunan (MI, MTs, MA, SDIP, TKIP), TK Ketilang, and SMK/SMA Triguna—have been resolved. All involved parties have agreed to implement the Decree of the Minister of Religious Affairs (KMA) regarding the integration of these educational units.
This certainty was reached during a meeting held in BSD on Saturday (30/05/2026), attended by the Rector of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, Vice Rector II Prof. Imam Subchi, and Vice Rector I Prof. Ahmad Tholabi. Also present were the former Rector of UIN and Chairman of the Foundation’s Supervisory Board, Prof. Dede Rosyada, alongside UIN Jakarta’s legal team and former Vice Rector Prof. Abuddin Nata.
Vice Rector II of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Imam Subchi, stated that the meeting resulted in a mutual understanding to end all differing views that had previously arisen regarding the management and status of these educational units. “Alhamdulillah, all parties have reached an understanding. The dispute that has been a shared concern is now resolved. All parties are committed to implementing the Minister of Religious Affairs Decree and supporting the integration process of the educational units as established by the government,” Prof. Imam Subting said in a statement to the media in Jakarta on Tuesday (02/06/2026).
During the meeting, Prof. Dede Rosyada, representing Prof. Hamid, also announced his resignation from the position of Chairman of the Foundation’s Supervisory Board. Both expressed their support for the implementation of KMA 1543 of 2025 and the ongoing integration process. According to Prof. Imam Subchi, the stance taken by the involved figures reflects a commitment to prioritising educational interests above all else. “We appreciate the generosity and commitment of all parties. This agreement demonstrates that the interests of students, educators, and the future of these educational institutions are the primary priorities. The most important thing now is to ensure the entire process proceeds smoothly and provides certainty for the community,” he added.
